Rental Agreement

The Client, by booking a party, agrees that they accept the conditions of the Rental Agreement. Dream a Little Dream will retain a booking form and a signed terms and conditions agreement, which the Client will then be provided with an invoice as confirmation of their booking

 

Positioning/Setting up of Equipment - The Client is responsible for indicating clearly the location for assembly or dismantling of the equipment. 

Rental Charges - Unless prior arrangements are made, rental charges are for an agreed-upon overnight period. If the equipment is unavailable for pick up or return at the scheduled time, Dream a Little Dream reserves the right to charge the Client a fee. If the Client chooses to postpone the rental of the equipment, cancellation charges will apply as set forth below.

Payment - Bookings are held once a $50 deposit is received via Venmo or Cash/Check. The deposit will be returned within 24hrs after the conclusion of the party as long as all property returns in original condition. Larger events require a $100 non refundable deposit for incidentals, planning, and prep time.  Payment of the party is due 24 hrs prior to the event set up unless paying with cash/check which then can be paid upon arrival before setup of the event. 

Cancellation - If the rental is canceled less than 48 hours before the setup time, the deposit will be forfeited.

Set up times - Saturday setups will be from 10am - 4pm and you will be allocated a 2- hour window for arrival.  Friday setups are more flexible but pickup time on the following Saturday will be between 10am-noon. Sunday pickups will start at 11am. Alternate times can be discussed.

Receipt of Delivery - The Client is responsible for being present to accept delivery of the equipment. The Client is responsible for any loss or damage incurred if He/She arranges equipment to be delivered without being present or without an authorized agent present, including for losses or damage resulting from equipment being delivered to an unattended premises or location as requested by the Client.  The Client is responsible for checking the quantity of rental items against the invoice/agreement upon delivery. Please notify Dream a Little Dream immediately to advise of any discrepancy or damage discovered. Notification after the rental period will not be considered timely and the Client will be liable for any loss or damage to the equipment.

Dream A Little Dream will take every care, but shall not be liable for any damage to the site, site access, furniture or personal belongings. All floor areas must be clean from dirt, dust & furniture before assembly commences.

Use of Equipment - The Client assumes full responsibility for all rented equipment, including their safe and proper use, operation, and return to Dream a Little Dream. Damage to rental equipment during use is the responsibility of the Client and the Client agrees that repair or replacement charges for damaged equipment will be paid after the rental date. If at any time during the rental period the Client considers the equipment to be faulty, it is the Client’s responsibility to contact Dream a Little Dream to report the problem. Dream a Little Dream reserves the right to repair or replace the faulty equipment as soon as practicable during the rental period to the reasonable satisfaction of the Client. The Client should not attempt to repair the equipment without prior consent. Please no jumping on air mattresses and no sitting/standing on tray tables.

Insurance - Client acknowledges and represents that it has adequate homeowner’s insurance, tenant insurance, or other liability insurance to cover any bodily injury or property damage which might occur to itself, its guests or its invitees from the use of the rental equipment, or else Client agrees to bear the costs of defense and liability of any such injury or damage itself.  

Liability to Third Parties -– Client agrees to indemnify and hold Dream a Little Dream harmless for any claims, including by third parties, for loss, injury and damage to persons or property arising out of the Client’s negligence or negligent supervision or use or misuse of rental equipment, including legal costs incurred in defense of such claims.

Cleaning - Rental equipment should be kept away from pets and smoking or other strong odors.  A cleaning charge will be applied to all equipment returned dirty $10 per piece of equipment. This will apply to all rental equipment, and includes excessive pet hair, pet damage or odors. Linen does not need to be washed, however if they are returned stained or excessively dirty a cleaning fee will apply. All rental equipment,; linen and bed sheets need to be returned dry. If there has been a case of bed wetting, there will be a $15 fee for cleaning of the mattress and other soiled materials.

 

Damage to Equipment - The Client is responsible for the security of the equipment at all times during the rental period. Any lost, broken, damaged or destroyed equipment will be charged to the Client at full replacement value.

The following shall be considered the replacement value of rental equipment, should an item be unrepairable or missing at time of pickup:

Tents - $40

Soiled/damaged Mattress - $20

Sheets - $10

Tray Tables - $15

Lanterns/lighting - $10

Soiled/damaged rugs - $10-$25

Decorative pillows - $10

Picnic table- $150-$300

TeePee - $100

Bubble tent - $300

Chalkboard sign - $75
